If you’ve done everything right, the game should work! If it’s having issues with your graphics card, you may have some luck by right-clicking RPG_RT.exe, selecting Properties, then the Compatibility tab, and enabling the option to run the game in compatibility mode for Windows 7 (or an older version of Windows). Now save the RPG_RT.ini file, and try running RPG_RT.exe. If you can’t see anything like that in here, then just add a new line at the end of the file and type: FullPackageFlag=1 Ive had this exact issue with Yume Nikki v0.04. Try running the game in compatibilty mode. Try starting the game in fullscreen mode by launching RPGRT.exe directly from the games base directory. If this line exists, change the 0 to a 1. For start, there are a few thing you can try: -Try starting the game in windowed mode via the launcher in the games top directory. Open this file in Notepad (or your text editor of choice) and look for a line which says: FullPackageFlag=0 Next, look for a file in the game folder called RPG_RT.ini. Paste the ones you copied from the RTP folder in here, but if Windows asks if you want to override any existing files, say no. Select all of these folders (but not the icon.ico or uninst.exe files), copy them, then go to the folder where you’ve unzipped your RPG Maker 2003 game - it should have a bunch of similar-looking folders.
If you’ve gone to the right place, you should see a bunch of folders like this: Then go to that folder (it should be something like C:\Users\ \AppData\Roaming\KADOKAWA\Common\RPG Maker 2003 RTP) - if you don’t see the AppData folder, select View in the file explorer and tick the Hidden Items box.
Install it anywhere, but remember the folder it was installed to.
You’re probably here because you’ve been trying to play an RPG Maker 2003 game on Windows 7, 8 or 10 and keep getting an error message that says, “The RPG Maker 2003 Runtime Package is not present or not registered.” Luckily there’s a relatively simple solution to this problem, albeit a bit of an awkward one.įirst of all, you need to download the official RPG Maker 2003 RTP. Again, using the site's built in site specific Google search function will take you to it right away, that's how I got in myself.Last updated by Gravecat on December 11th, 2017. There is no discord for this game, it's for FTT as a whole. I COULD do that, and it would still leave me wondering if there was a specific discord group for the game, or the main FTT one, or one of many many other mentions that said search pulls up.īut the laconic "do it yourself" is very useful. You know you can Google search the boards for discord and find it in like thirty seconds, right? PM me or find me on discord if you want to talk! Next time I post in this thread it will be with an update. I'm not very computer literate, sorry.Įdit: And in saying I don't want to bump the thread, I bump the thread. Not sure why you guys are having trouble getting it to run. I guess I could post stuff here, but I'd rather not bump the thread until I have a real updoot. I put a couple teaser photos up in the discord a while back, planning to add more later. Sorry for the delay :( Super busy lately, working on it when I can.
